mauve.paris2025-02-03T10:16:22+01:00Each year, the Edmond de Rothschild Medical Fellowship Program selection committee recognizes promising physicians who will receive a grant to conduct research abroad.
For the 2024 edition, two researchers have been selected: an ophthalmologist and a neurosurgeon, chosen for the innovation and impact of their work.
What is the Medical Fellowship Program?
This program aims to support the international mobility of physicians under 40 years old, offering them the opportunity to join a prestigious research institution abroad. These Fellowship grants, lasting a maximum of one year, allow practitioners to specialize in head and neck pathologies and pursue an academic hospital career.
With an annual budget of €100,000, this initiative provides up to €5,000 per month to fund the laureates’ stay, and up to €6,000 per month for those with family responsibilities.
Dr. Thibault Passeri, 2024 Fellowship Laureate
This year, Dr. Thibault Passeri, a neurosurgeon at Lariboisière Hospital (AP-HP), has been selected for his research project on prognostic biomarkers in chordomas, a rare type of bone tumor. His study also focuses on the molecular characterization of xenograft models to test new targeted therapies.
To conduct his research, he will join the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a world-renowned center for neuroscience. His work could contribute to significant therapeutic advancements.
A Strong Commitment to Medical Research
Through the Medical Fellowship Program, talented physicians gain access to top-tier training and actively contribute to medical progress.
Congratulations to Dr. Thibault Passeri on this well-deserved recognition!
