Craniopharyngioma

a certain type of tumor

Craniopharyngioma is a rare, usually benign (non-cancerous) brain tumor that develops near the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, structures essential for controlling hormones and many vital functions. Although it does not tend to spread to the rest of the body, its localization can lead to significant symptoms: visual disturbances, headaches, hormonal imbalances and even growth difficulties in children.
