Some doctors have a private practice in the hospital under strict regulations.

Some doctors have a private practice at the hospital subject to strict regulation.

You have the choice between the public sector and the private sector. The choice of the private sector should not be the result of a waiting period in the public sector that would be incompatible with your health situation.

If you consult your surgeon in a private setting, the practitioner’s fees must be displayed in the waiting room. At the end of the consultation, you will have to pay the fees.

In case of hospitalization:

You must express in writing your choice to be treated as part of the practitioner’s private activity;

You must obtain an estimate of the costs of care before your hospitalation.

You can not be transferred from the public sector to the private sector and vice versa, except on a reasoned request from you and after the opinion of the department head.
